    الحارِث اللِّهْبي (٠٠٠ - ٨ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٦٢٩ م) الحارث بن عمير الأزدي اللهبي: صحابيّ، بعثه رسول الله ﷺ إلى ملك بصرى بكتابه، فلما نزل مؤتة (قرب الكرك - بشرقي الأردن) عرض له شرحبيل بن عمرو الغساني فأوثقه رباطاًوضرب عنقه صبرا. ولم يقتل لرسول الله ﷺ رسول غيره. وعلى أثر مقتله كانت غزوة مؤتة (١) .
