بُطْرُسْ غَالي (١٢٦٢ - ١٣٢٨ هـ = ١٨٤٦ - ١٩١٠ م) بطرس (باشا) ابن غالي نيروز: وزير مصري. من الأقباط الأرثوذكس. له ذكر في تاريخ مصر الحديث. ولد بالميمون (من قرى بني سويف) وتعلم بمصر وأوربا. وحذق بضع لغات. وتقلب في المناصب. وولي نظارة المالية فالخارجية فرئاسة مجلس النظار. ونقم عليه الوطنيون المصريون إمضاءه اتفاقية السودان، وترؤسه محكمة دنشواي، وإعادته قانون المطبوعات، ومقاومته الجمعية العمومية، ورضاه بمشروع قناة السويس، فانبرى له إبراهيم ناصف الورداني (شاب من أقباط مصر) فقتله، وقتل به (٢) .
