    امرؤ القيس الثاني (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢١٢ ق هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٤٠٣ م) امرؤ القيس (الثاني) بن عمرو بن امرئ القيس الأول، من بني لخم، من قحطان: ملك الحيرة وأعمالها. ولي بعد مقتل أوس بن قلام (نحو سنة ٣٨٢ م) وكان بطاشا جبارا "، يعرف بالمحرّق، لأنه أول من عاقب بالإحراق بالنار في قومه. قال ابن خلدون: هلك في أيام يزدجرد الأثيم (١) .
