إِلْياس بن حَبِيب (٠٠٠ - ١٣٨ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٧٥٥ م) إلياس بن حبيب بن أبي عبيدة بن عقبة ابن نافع الفهري: أمير شجاع. كان مع أخيه عبد الرحمن لما استولى على إفريقية. وأخضع له من عصاه. ولم ير منه ما يسره، فاتفق مع جماعة من أهل القيروان على قتله. وبلغ عبد الرحمن ذلك فأمره بالمسير إلى تونس، فتجهز ودخل عليه يودعه، فاطمأن إليه عبد الرحمن، وكان مريضا، فقتله إلياس واستولى على إمارة افريقيةعاما وستة أشهر. وقتله حبيب بن عبد الرحمن بثأرأبيه (١) .
