    ابن اليازِجي (٠٠٠ - ١١٢١ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٧٠٩ م) إسماعيل بن عبد الباقي اليازجي: واعظ من فقهاء الحنفية بدمشق. ووفاته بها. له (قطر الغيث، شرح مقدمة أبي الليث - خ) رسالة في ١٦ ورقة صغيرة، رأيتها بخطه. أطلعني عليها حمدي السفرجلاني، بدمشق، و (التعليقة الوفية لشرح المنفرجة الجيمية - خ) و (الامتناع، في تحريم الملاهي والسماع - خ) قال المرادي: وأخبرني بعض الأصحاب أن له (شرحا على الهداية) في الفقه، وصل فيه إلى ربع العبادات، مجلد كبير، و (شرحا على الجلالين) في التفسير، لم يكمله. وكان أبوه (كاتبا) وهو معنى كلمة (يازجي) بالتركية (٢) .
