    الأَكْحَل الكَلْبي (٠٠٠ - ٤١٧ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٢٦ م) أحمد بن يوسف بن عبد الله بن محمد الكلبي القضاعي، المعروف بالأكحل: أمير صقلّيّة. كان أبوه قد فلج سنة ٣٨٨ هـ ونزل عن الإمارة إلى ابنه جعفر، وثارت صقلّيّة على جعفر، فعزله أبوه وأقام أحمد (الأكحل) سنة ٤١٠ هـ في مكانه. ولُقب بأسد الدولة، ودانت له البلاد، وصدَّ النورمانديين. ولكنه فسح المجاللدخول ابن له اسمه (جعفر) في سياسة الإمارة، فميز فريقا من أهلها عن فريق، ولجأ المضطهدون إلى ابن باديس (صاحب القيروان) يستصرخونه، فوجّه ابن باديس جيشا إلى صقلّيّة استولى على قصر الإمارة وقتل الأكحل (١) .
