أحمد فَخْري (١٣٢٣ - ١٣٩٣ هـ = ١٩٠٥ - ١٩٧٣ م) أحمد فخري، الدكتور: عالمبالآثار المصرية. ولد في الفيوم وتابع دراسته إلى أن كان أستاذا لتاريخ الشرق القديم بجامعة القاهرة. له عدة كشوف أثرية في الواحات المصرية وبضعة كتب بالإنكليزية أحدها في أبحاثه الأثرية باليمن بعد قيامه بحفائر فيها، وكتاب عن (الصحراء الغربية والواحات - ط) بالانكليزية أيضا. ودعي ليحاضر في السوربون فبينما هو بباريس أصابته أزمة قلبية فمات على أثرها. ونقل إلى مصر. كانت فيه دعابة وله نظم شعبي (١).
