    الحاكِم الأَوَّل (٠٠٠ - ٧٠١ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٣٠٢ م) أحمد بن علي بن أحمد ابن المسترشد ابن المستظهر، أبو العباس، الحاكم بأمر الله: ثاني خلفاء الدولة العباسية في الديار المصرية. نشأ ببغداد، واختفى في واقعتها، وتوجه إلى حسين بن فلاح أمير خفاجة، وقاتل التتر، وتوجه إلى مصر عن طريق دمشق، فاتصل بالظاهر بيبرس بعد فقدان المستنصر، فأثبت نسبه أمام بيبرس سنة٦٦٠ هـ فبايعه وجعل له ما كان لسلفه (المستنصر) من الخطبة باسمه على المنابر، ونقش اسمه على النقود مدة ثم اقتُصر على اسم السلطان، وحبسه في برج مع الإحسان إليه، فأقام إلى أن توفي في القاهرة وليس له من الأمر شئ. وكان شجاعا ديّنا (١) .
