    ابن عِزّ الدِّين (٠٠٠ - ٩٨٨ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٥٨٠ م) أحمد بن عز الدين بن الحسن بن عز الدين: من أئمة الزيدية في اليمن. بويع بصعدة سنة ٩٥٨هـ ولم يقبل عليه الناس من غيرها، فصبر. وبلغه أن الترك سيهاجمون صعدة فرحل عنها إلى الحرجة، فامتلك الترك صعدة وجميع بلاد خولان وهاجموا الحرجة فخرج منها إلى الواديين وأقام هناك إلى أن بغله أن البلاد صارت إلى ابن أخيه أحمد بن الحسين، فعاد إلى (يسنم) وهو واد من بلاد صعدة. وأقام إلى أن توفي. وكان فيه زهد وقناعة (١) .
