    ابن عَمَّار الثَّقَفي (٠٠٠ - ٣١٤ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ٩٢٦ م) أحمد بن عبيد الله بن محمد بن عمار، أبو العباس، من ثقيف: كاتب مؤرخ أديب شيعي من أهل الكوفة، كان يلقب بالعزيز (بالتصغير) أو حمار العزيز، لقول ابن الرومي فيه: (وفي ابن عمار عزيزية، يخاصم الله بها والقدر) من كتبه (المبيّضة) في مقاتل آل أبي طالب، و (الأنواء) في النجوم، و (الزيادات) في أخبار الوزراء، و (أخبار حجر بن عدي) و (أخبار بني أمية) و (أخبار أبي نواس) و (أخبار ابن الرومي) و (تفضيل بني هاشم وأوليائهم وذم بني أمية وأتباعهم) و (أخبار أبي العتاهية) و (أخبار عبد الله بن معاوية بن جعفر) (٣) .
