    ابن نِعْمَة (٥٧٥ - ٦٦٨ هـ = ١١٧٩ - ١٢٧٠ م) أحمد بن عبد الدائم بن نعمة المقدسيّ، أبو العباس، زين الدين: نسَّاخ، من شيوخ الحنابلة، عالم بالحديث. ولد بفندق الشيوخ (من أرض نابلس) وانتقل إلى دمشق، وتوفي بها. له كتاب (مشيخة - خ) ١٥ ورقة في معهد المخطوطات (٨٠١ تاريخ) و (تاريخ) جمعه لنفسه. وكان حسن الخط سريعا فيه، مكثرا من نسخ الكتب له وبالأجرة. لازم الكتابة أكثر من ٥٠ سنة. وكان يكتب في اليوم إذا تفرغ تسعة كراريس ويقال إنه كتب بيده ألفي مجلدة، منها تاريخ الشام لابن عساكر مرّتين، والمغني لموفق الدين، مرات. وكف بصره في آخر عمره (٢) .
