أَحمد زَيْدَان (٠٠٠ - ١٣٢٨ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٩١٠ م) أحمد زيدان البياتي: مغنّ، من أهل بغداد، نسبته إلى عشيرة (البيات) القاطنة الآن في جوار (جبل حمرين) بالعراق. انفرد نحو ستين عاما بالتفوق في بغداد بأغانيه، وكان يختلف إليه طلاب هذا الفن يأخذون عنه الألحان إلى أن مات عن نحو ٨٠ عاما. ولا يزال بعض مريديه يرددون نغماته (٢) .
