المُؤَيَّد الزَّيْدي (٣٣٣ - ٤٢١ هـ = ٩٤٥ - ١٠٣٠ م) أحمد بن الحسين بن هارون الأقطع، من أبناء زيد بن الحسن العلويّ الطالبي القرشي، أبو الحسين: إمام زيدي، من أهل طبرستان. مولده بها في آمل، ودعوته الأولى سنة ٣٨٠ بويع له بالديلم ولقب بالسيد (المؤيد باللَّه) ومدة ملكه عشرون سنة. وكان غزير العلم، له مصنفات في الفقه والكلام، منها (الأمالي - ط) و (التجريد) في علم الأثر، و (شرحه) في أربعة مجلدات (٢) .
