    ابن الصُّوفي (٠٠٠ - نحو ٢٧٠ هـ = ٠٠٠ - نحو ٨٨٣ م) إبراهيم بن محمد بن يحيى العلويّ الهاشمي: ثائر. كانت إقامته بمصر. وخرج في صعيدها سنة ٢٥٣هـ على واليها أحمد ابن طولون. فدخل (اسنا) سنة ٢٥٥ ونهبها وقتل بعض أهلها. فسير إليه ابن طولون جيشا هزمه جيشا هزمه إبراهيم وقتل قائده. واستمر القتال بينه وبين عساكر ابن طولون إلى أن ضعفت عزائم أصحابه، فركب البحر إلى مكة فأقام مدة، فقبض عليه فيها فأرسل إلى ابن طولون، فسجنه، ثم أطلقه، فخرج إلى المدينة فمات فيها (٢) .
