شيبة بن الأحنف حدثنا أسلم، قال: ثنا محمد بن عبادة، قال: ثنا أبو سفيان الحميري [١٧٥] ، قَالَ: ثنا شيبة بن الأحنف، قَالَ: لما حضرت أمي الوفاة، قَالَتْ لي: يا بني، إذا أنا مت، فقل عند قبري: يا أم شيبة، قولي لا إله إلا الله. قَالَ: فلما دفنتها احتوشتها النساء. وكانت امرأة منهن قد سمعت قصتها. فقَالَتْ: تنحين! فإن أمه قد أوصته بوصية. فقمن. فجئت، فقعدت عند قبرها فقالت: يا أم شيبة، قولي: لا إله إلا الله. فلما كان في الليل أتتني أمي، فقَالَتْ: يا بني. لقد حفظت وصيتي، لولا تداركتني لقد هلكت.
