    إبراهيم بن أحمد الأخنائي إبراهيم بن أحمد الإمام العلامة القاضي برهانالدين بن الاخنائي الدمشقي الشافعي، قال والد شيخنا: كان من العلماء والفضلاء والرؤساء، وكان يمسك زمام الفقهاء، ويلبس أجمل الثياب وأفخرها، ويركب الخيل الحسان، أحد قضاة العدل، اشتغل أولاً على الشيخ العلامة برهان الدين بن المعتمد، ورافق تقي الدين القارىء عليه وعلى غيره في الاشتغال، وكان يحضرنا في الدروس على السيد كمال الدين ابن حمزة، له مهابة ودعابة مع سكينة ووقار، توفي ليلة الأربعاء سابع شهر رجب الفرد سنة أربع وخمسين وتسعمائة وصلي عليه في الجامع الأموي ودفن بتربة المعمورة على الطريق الآخذ قبلة بغرب إلى جامع جراح.
