    ٥٩٤ - مؤذِّن النَّجِيبي * الشيخ المقرئ المعمَّر، نجم الدين أيوب بن سليمان بن مظفَّر، المصريّ، المؤذِّن كبير المؤذِّنين. كان يَخرُج بين يدي خطباء دمشق بالسَّواد، وله صوت جَهْوَري طيِّب، واستمرَّ في ذلك زمانًا، وعاش تسعًا وثمانين سنة، وكان منوّر الشَّيبة، ريِّضَ الأخلاق. توفّي في جمادى الأولى سنة تسع وسبع مئة. وله عدة أولاد، منهم: المَولَى أمين الدين محمد، الذي يُورِد الخبرَ يوم الجمعة في الإنصات.
