    ٣٧٣ - سُلامش بن بَيبَرس * السلطان الملك العادل ابن الملك الظاهر. لما خَلَع السعيدُ نفسه من السَّلطنة مُكرَهًا، عَمَدوا إلى هذا الصبي فسلطنوه في سنة ثمان وسبعين، ووليَ نيابة المملكة سيف الدين قَلاوون، وضُربت السِّكّة باسمه، وخُطِب له نحو شهرين، ثم عُزِل وتسلطن الملك المنصور سيف الدين أيَّده الله، ثم بقي سُلامش هو وأخوه خَضِر في مصر مدة، فلما تسلطن الأشرف بعث بهما إلى بلد اصطنبول. فلم يلبث سلامش أن مات سنة تسعين وست مئة، وهو ابن بضع وعشرين سنة، وكان من المِلاح.
