    ١١٥ - مَحْمُوْدُ بنُ الحَسَنِ الوَرَّاقُ * بَغْدَادِيٌّ، خَيِّرٌ، شَاعرٌ، مُجَوِّدٌ، سَائِرُ النَّظْمِ فِي المَوَاعِظِ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: ابْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا، وَأَبُو العَبَّاسِ بنُ مَسْرُوْقٍ. وَقِيْلَ: كَانَتْ لَهُ جَارِيَةٌ أُعْطِيَ فِيْهَا سَبْعَةَ آلاَفِ دِيْنَارٍ، فَامْتَنَعَ، فَلَمَّا مَاتَ اشتُرِيَتْ لِلْمُعْتَصِمِ بِسَبْعِ مائَةِ دِيْنَارٍ. ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا: كَيْفَ رَأَيْتِ؟ قَالَتْ: إِذَا كَانَأَمِيْرُ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ يَنْتظِرُ بشهوَاتِهِ الموَارِيثَ، فسَبْعُوْنَ دِيْنَاراً فِيَّ كَثِيْرَةٌ.
