١٨٩ - بَرْغُوْثٌ مُحَمَّدُ بنُ عِيْسَى الجَهْمِيُّ ** وَهُوَ رَأْسُ البِدْعَةِ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بنُ عِيْسَى الجَهْمِيُّ. أَحَدُ مَنْ كَانَ يُنَاظِرُ الإِمَامَ أَحْمَدَ وَقْتَ المِحْنَةِ. صَنَّفَ: كِتَابَ (الاسْتِطَاعَةِ) ، وَكِتَابَ (المَقَالاَتِ) ، وَكِتَابَ (الاجْتِهَادِ) ، وَكِتَابَ (الرَّدِّ عَلَى جَعْفَرِ بنِ حَرْبٍ) ، وَكِتَابَ (المُضَاهَاةِ) . قِيْلَ: تُوُفِّيَ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعِيْنَ وَمائَتَيْنِ. وَقِيْلَ: سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَأَرْبَعِيْنَ. وَمِنْهُم:
