٥٧ - وَاهِبُ بنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الكَعْبِيُّ المَعَافِرِيُّ * الشَّيْخُ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الكَعْبِيُّ، المَعَافِرِيُّ، المِصْرِيُّ. حَدَّثَ عَنْ: أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَعُتْبَةَ بنِ عَامِرٍ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَعَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ عَمْرٍو، وَحَسَّانِ بنِ كُرَيْبٍ، وَجَمَاعَةٍ. وَعَنْهُ: عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بنُ شُرَيْحٍ، وَاللَّيْثُ بنُ سَعْدٍ، وَرَجَاءُ بنُ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ، وَضِمَامُ بنُ إِسْمَاعِيْلَ، وَابْنُ لَهِيْعَةَ. وَثَّقَهُ: ابْنُ حِبَّانَ. وَخَرَّجَ لَهُ: البُخَارِيُّ فِي كِتَابِ (الأَدَبِ) . عُمِّرَ دَهْراً. وَتُوُفِّيَ: بِبَرْقَةَ، فِي سَبْعٍ وَثَلاَثِيْنَ، بِبَرْقَةَ.
