٢٦٠ - حريث بن أبي مطر من أهل الكوفة، يروي عن الشعبي، واسم أبي مطر عمرو، روى عنه الثوري ووكيع، كان ممن يخطئ، ثم يغلب خطؤه على صوابه، فيخرجه عن حد العدالة، ولكنه إذا انفرد بالشيء لا يحتج به. أخبرناه الهمداني، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن علي، قال: لم أسمع يحيى ولا عبد الرحمن يحدثان عن حريث بن أبي مطر بشيء قط.
