أبو المحاسن بن اسماعيل الشوّاء: المعروف بابن الكوفي، ويلقّب بالشهاب الحلبي، شاعر مجيد، كان بحلب من شعراء الملك الظاهر، ثم من شعراء ولده الملك العزيز بعده، وكان له بحلب حانوت يشوي فيه الشواء، سمعته مرارا ينشد الملك الظاهر، والملك العزيز بحلب. (١٨٨ - و)
