إسحاق بن أسعد بن عمار بن سعد بن عمار بن علي: أبو يعقوب، بن أبي المعالي الموصلي المعروف والده بالرتيب، وهو الأكبر من أولاده، كان يرجع إلى رئاسة وفضل. أخبرني أخوه عمر بن أسعد أن أخاه الأكبر سمع الحديث، وقصد حلب ومات بها في أوائل سنة ثلاث وعشرين وستمائة، ودفن بقرب من مقام إبراهيم ﵇.
