أحمد بن عبد الله بن حمدون بن نصير بن ابراهيم: أبو الحسن الرملي المعروف بالجبريني، أظن أن أصله من بيت جبرين (¬١)، وسكن الرملة. سمع بحلب أبا بكر أحمد بن محمد بن أبي ادريس إمام جامعها، وبأنطاكية أبا بكر محمد بن الحسن بن فيل، وحدث عنهما وعن أبي محمد عبد الله بن أبان بن شداد العسقلاني، وأبي الفضل عباس بن محمد بن الحسن بن قتيبة، وأبي هاشم محمد بن عبد الأعلى بن عليك الإمام، وأبي الحسن داود بن أحمد بن مصحح العسقلاني وأبي الحسن محمد بن بكار بن يزيد السكسكي الدمشقي. روى عنه عبد الوهاب بن جعفر الميداني، وتمام بن محمد الرازي (١٤٨ ظ)
