٩١١ - أبو زياد الكلابىّ، واسمه يزيد بن عبد الله بن الحرّ «١» أعرابىّ بدوىّ، قال دعبل: قدم أبو زياد من البادية أيّام المهدىّ، حين أصابت النّاس المجاعة، ونزل بغداد في قطيعة العباس بن محمد، وأقام بها أربعين سنة، وبها مات. وكان لغويّا شاعرا فصيحا، من بنى عامر بن كلاب. وصنّف كتبا جليلة، كثيرة الفوائد، مستوفاة في فنها، واسترق [٣] العلماء بعده منها، فمن ذلك: كتاب «النّوادر [٤]» وهو أتمّ كتاب عمل في هذا النوع، وأكثرها فائدة. كتاب «الفرق». كتاب «خلق الانسان». كتاب «الإبل».
