٦٣١ - محمد بن الحسين بن علىّ الجفنىّ أبو الفرج النحوىّ اللغوىّ المعروف بابن الدباغ «١» من أهل الكرخ. أديب فاضل، له معرفة باللغة والعربية، وله ترسّل حسن وشعر حسن. قرأ على الشريف أبى السعادات هبة الله بن على الشجرىّ وغيره؛ وأقرأ الناس مدة، ومن شعره: خيال سرى فازدار منى لدى الدجى ... خيالا بعيدا عهده بالمراقد عجبت له أنّى رآنى وإننى ... من السّقم خاف عن عيون العوائد ولولا أنينى ما اهتدى لمضاجعى ... ولم يدر ملقى رحلنا بالفراقد [٢] توفى أبو الفرج الجفنىّ فى يوم الجمعة سابع عشرين رجب سنة أربع وثمانين وخمسمائة [٣].
