٣٣٨ - عبد الله بن محمد بن هارون أبو محمد التوّزىّ [٢] مولى قريش. وكان يدعى بالقرشىّ. وقال المبرّد: قرأ التّوّزىّ كتاب سيبويه على أبى عمر الجرمىّ. قال: ما رأيت أعلم بالشعر منه. وكان أعلم من الرياشىّ والمازنىّ وأكثرهم رواية عن أبى عبيدة. وقد قرأ على الأصمعى وغيره. وتزوّج التوّزىّ أم أبى ذكوان النحوىّ، فكان أبو ذكوان إذا قيل له: من التوّزى منك؟ يقول: كان أبا إخوتى. فمن تصانيفه كتاب الأمثال. كتاب الأضداد. كتاب الخيل وأسنانها وعيوبها وإضمارها ومن نسب إلى فرسه وسبقها. كتاب فعلت وأفعلت. كتاب النوادر. وهو منسوب إلى موضع من بلاد فارس اسمه توّز، وهم يسمّونه اليوم توّج. توفى- ﵀ سنة ثلاثين ومائتين.
