٣٣٥ - عبد الله بن عمرو بن صبح المعروف بابن أبى صبح المرّىّ [١] أعرابى بدوىّ لغوىّ، فصيح. دخل من البادية، ونزل بغداذ، ولم يزل مقيما بها حتى مات وأخذ منه. وكان شاعرا فصيحا، وله مع الفقسىّ «١» أخبار ظريفة. قال دعبل: حضر الفقعسىّ دارا فيها وليمة، وحضرها ابن أبى صبح الأعرابىّ فازدحما على الباب، فغلب ابن أبى صبح، ودخل قبل الفقعسىّ، وقال: ألا يا ليت أنّك أمّ عمرو ... شهدت مقامتى كى تعذرينى ودفعى منكب الأسدىّ عنى ... على عجل بناجية زبون «٢» بمنزلة كأن الأسد فيها ... رمتنى بالحواجب والعيون «٣» وكنت إذا سمعت بحق خصم ... منعت الخصم أن يتقدّمونى
