٨٥ - أحمد بن هبة الله بن العلاء بن منصور المخزومىّ [١] النحوىّ اللغوىّ، أبو العباس المعروف بابن الزاهد البغداذىّ. كان أحمد هذا أديبا فاضلا، له معرفة بالنحو واللغة والعربية وأشعار العرب وغير ذلك. قرأ على أبى الفضل الأشقر «١» النحوىّ وعلى أبى محمد بن الخشاب «٢»، ولازمه مدة، وسمع الحديث، وروى واستفاد الطلبة منه. توفّى يوم الاثنين ثالث عشر رجب، من سنة إحدى عشرة وستمائة، وقد نيّف على الثمانين، وله شعر منه: فما رفع الهندىّ «٣» وهو حديدة ... على التّبر إلا ضربه «٤» بالمطارق ولو رمت ما راموه بالعلم لم يكن ... وجيههم «٥» فى حلبة المجد لاحقى «٦»
