    ٢٢ - أحمد بن حمزة التّنوخىّ العرقىّ أبو الحسن النحوىّ اللغوىّ [١] رحل عن الشام إلى مصر، واستفاد هذا الشأن وأفاده. سمع بإسكندرية من السّلفى الأصبهانىّ أبى طاهر «١» كثيرا من الحديث، وعلق عنه السّلفىّ فوائد أدبية، وذكر أنه رأى ابن الصوّاف المقرئ وأبا إسحاق الحبّال «٢» الحافظ المصرىّ، وأبا الفضل بن الجوهرىّ الواعظ، وقرأ القرآن على أبى الحسين الخشّاب، واللّغة على ابن القطّاع، والنحو على المعروف بمسعود الدولة الدمشقى النحوىّ، نزيل مصر. وولى أبوه القضاء بمصر. وكان مولده- أعنى أحمد بن حمزة هذا- سنة اثنتين وستين وأربعمائة، وتوفى بإسكندرية، وحمل فى تابوت إلى مصر.
