ابْنُ الشَّيَّابِ يُعَدُّ فِي الشَّامِيِّينَ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بِلَالٍ٧٠٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ حَمْدَانَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ بُحَيْرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بِلَالٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ الشَّيَّابِ: «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَوْمَ الشِّعْبِ آخِرَ أَصْحَابِهِ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْعَدُوِّ غَيْرُ حَمْزَةَ، فَقَاتَلَ الْعَدُوَّ، فَرَصَدَ وَحْشِيُّ قَتْلَهُ، وَقَدْ قَتَلَ اللهُ بِيَدِ حَمْزَةَ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَاحِدًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، وَكَانَ يُدْعَى أَسَدَ اللهِ»
