    ١٤٦٤٩ - يوسف بن عبد الله أبو يعقوب الشَّحَّام البصري • يوسف بن عبد الله الشحام أبو يعقوب البصري. شيخ أبي علي الجبائي. قال النديم: انتهت إليه رئاسة المعتزلة بالبصرة في وقته، أخذ، عَن أبي الهذيل. وذكر أنه كان على ديوان الخراج أيام الواثق وأنه كان قد وعظ العلوي صاحب الزنج لما خرج بالبصرة فأراد قتله ثم تركه.
