[فق]. أخباري علامة.قد ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. يروى عن معتمر بن سليمان، وأبي عبيدة اللغوي، والواقدي، وخلق. وعنه ابن أبي الدنيا، وابن صاعد. وتوفى سنة ثنتين وخمسين ومائتين. روى عنه أسلم بن سهل حديثا كذبا لعله وهم. [ميزان الاعتدال (٤/ ١٤٨)]. • محمد بن صالح بن النطاح. لا يحتج به بافراده يروي المناكير، قلت في الميزان وهو اخباري علامة وثقه ابن حبان، ج، محمد بن صالح لا يجوز الاحتجاج به. [قانون الضعفاء (ص ٢٩١)].
