٢٦٩٩ - حاتم بن عثمان أبو عثمان المعافري الإفريقي • حاتم بن عثمان المعافري. أبو عثمان الإفريقي. سمع من عبد الرحمن بن زياد بن أنعم ومالك بن أنس. قال أبو العرب الصقلي: كان يغرب عن مالك بأحاديث لا يرويها غيره. قلت: فمن الأباطيل التي زعم أن مالكا حدَّثه بها، عن ابن شهاب، عَن أبي سلمة، عَن أبي هريرة قال: باب من العلم نتعلمه أحب الينا من الف ركعة وسمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: إذا جاء الموت طالب العلم ومات على حاله فهو شهيد حدَّث عنه داود بن يحيى، وَغيره.
