    [٩١١/ ٨٩٥] (م د ت ق) جبر بن نوف البكالي. قال ابن قرقول في نوف: أكثر المحدثين يضمون الباء، ويشددون الكاف، وآخره لام، وكذا قيدناه (¬١) عن أبي بحر، وابن أبي جعفر، عن العُذري. وكذا قاله أبو ذر. وقيد عن المهلب بكسر الباء، وكذلك عن الصدفي، وأبي الحسين بن سراج بتخفيف الكاف، وهو الصوابُ؛ نسبة إلى بكال من حمير. انتهى. أبو الوداك الكوفي. عن: أبي سعيد الخدري، وشريح القاضي. وعنه: علي بن أبي طلحة، وقيس بن وهب، ويونس بن أبي إسحاق، وغيرهم وثقه ابن معين.

    ٢٣٦٧ - جبر بن نوف البكالي • جبر بن نوف البكالي، أبو الوداك (م د ت س ق). عَن أبي سعيد الخُدْرِيّ وَغَيره. وَعنهُ على بن أبي طَلْحَة، وَيُونُس بن أبي إِسْحَاق وَآخَرُونَ. قَال عبد الحق: وَثَّقَهُ ابن معِين، وَهُوَ عِنْد غَيره دون ذَلِك، انْتهى. قلت: كَأَنَّهُ يُرِيد بِغَيْرِهِ أَبَا حَاتِم الرَّازِيّ، فَإِنَّهُ قَال: أبو الوداك أحب الى من بشر بن حَرْب، وَأبي هَارُون العَبدَرِي، وَشهر بن حَوْشَب، انْتهى.
