[١٢٣٩] يحيى بن محمد أبو محمد الأرزني: إمام في العربية مليح الخط سريع الكتابة، كان يخرج في وقت العصر إلى سوق الكتب ببغداد فلا يقوم من مجلسه حتى يكتب «الفصيح» لثعلب ويبيعه بنصف دينار، ويشتري نبيذا ولحما وفاكهة، ولا يبيت حتى ينفق ما معه منه. وله تأليف في النحو مختصر. مات سنة خمس عشرة وأربعمائة. ومن شعره: إن من أحوجك الدهر إليه ... وتعلقت به هنت عليه ليس يصفو ودّ من واخيته ... إن تعرضت لشيء في يديه
