[١١٤٨] مصدق بن شبيب بن الحسين أبو الخير الصّلحي النحوي: صحب الشيخ صدقة الواعظ «١» وهو صبي وقرأ عليه القرآن وشيئا من النحو، وقدم بغداد فقرأ على ابن الخشاب وحبشي «٢» وأبي الحسن ابن العطار «٣» والكمال الانباري، وطلب الأدب حتى برز فيه، وسمع الحديث، وتخرج به جماعة من أهل الأدب، ولم يكن في العبارة بذاك، وإنما كان رجلا صالحا فكان تستفاد بركته. ولد سنة خمس وثلاثين وخمسمائة، ومات في ليلة الاثنين الثالث والعشرين من ربيع الأول سنة خمس وستمائة.
