[١٠٨٨] محمد بن علي [بن محمد] أبو سهل الهروي النحوي اللغوي: ولد في رمضان سنة اثنتين وسبعين وثلاثمائة، وأخذ عن صاحب الغريبين أبي عبيد أحمد بن محمد الهروي، وروى عنه وعن أبي يعقوب النجيرمي وأبي أسامة جنادة بن محمد النحوي رئيس المؤذنين بجامع عمرو. وله من الكتب شرح الفصيح. ومختصره. وكتاب أسماء الأسد. كتاب أسماء السيف. مات بمصر يوم الأحد ثالث المحرم سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وأربعمائة.
