محمد بن أحمد بن طالب الفقيه الأديب الحلبي أبو الحسن : سمع ببغداد أبا بكر ابن دريد وأبا بكر ابن الأنباري وأبا علي ابن الحسين بن أحمد الكاتب المعروف بالكوكبي وأبا عبد الله نفطويه وأبا عيسى محمد بن أحمد بن قطن السمسار، وبحلب أبا عبد الله أحمد بن جعفر بن أحمد بن ماست الحاضري الحلبي والقاضي أبا حصين. ومات بعد سنة اثنتين وسبعين وثلاثمائة، قرىء عليه كتابه في هذه السنة، وله «كتاب الشبان والشيب» أحسن فيه.[٩٧٧]
