الفضل بن خالد أبو معاذ النحوي المروزي مولى باهلة: روى عن عبد الله بن المبارك وعبيد بن سليم روى عنه محمد بن علي بن الحسن بن شقيق وأهل بلده، مات سنة إحدى عشرة ومائتين، ذكر ذلك الحاكم بن البيع في «تاريخ نيسابور» . قال الأزهري: ولأبي معاذ كتاب في القرآن حسن. قلت: وقد روى عنه الأزهري في «كتاب التهذيب» فأكثر، وذكره محمد بن حبّان في «تاريخ الثقات» في الطبقة الرابعة بمثل ذلك سواء، ولعلّ الحاكم عنه نقل.
