الحسن بن القاسم بن علي الواسطي المعروف بغلام الهراس: أبو علي المقرىء، إمام الحرمين، مات سنة ثمان وستين وأربعمائة بواسط. سافر في طلب الاسناد للقراءات وأتعب نفسه في التجويد والتحقيق حتى صار طبقة أهل العصر، ورحل إليه الناس من أقطار الأرض، وكفّ بصره بأخرة؛ وقد قدح قوم في قراءته وقالوا: ادّعى الاسناد في شيء لا حقيقة له، ذكر ذلك عن ابن خيرون الأمين وغيره. - ٣٥٢-
