الحسن بن أحمد بن يعقوب، يعرف بابن الحائك الهمداني ، منمفاخرها: له «كتاب الإكليل «١» في مفاخر «٢» قحطان. وذكر اليمن» وله قصيدة سماها «الدامغة في فضل قحطان» «٣» أولها: ألا يا دار لولا تنطقينا ... فانّا سائلوك فخبرينا وله كتاب جزيرة العرب وأسماء بلادها وأوديتها ومن يسكنها «٤» . وقرأت بخطّ الأمير عبد الكريم بن علي البيساني أخي الفاضل عبد الرحيم في فهرست كتبه وذكر خبرا من كتاب الاكليل في أنساب حمير وأخبارها تصنيف الحسن بن أحمد بن يعقوب الهمداني وكان في سنة احدى وثلاثين وثلاثمائة «٥» .
