جعفر بن إسماعيل بن القاسم القالي : هو ولد أبي علي القالي الذي تقدم ذكره، وأبو علي والده هو صاحب «الأمالي» وغيرها من التصانيف المشهورة، وكان جعفر هذا أيضا أديبا فاضلا أريبا، وهو القائل في المنصور محمد بن أبي عامر أمير الأندلس يمدحه: وكتيبة للشيب جاءت تبتغي ... قتل الشباب ففرّ كالمذعور فكأنّ هذا جيش كلّ مثلّث ... وكأنّ تلك كتيبة المنصور [٢٨٣]
