أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن هبة الله بن محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن يحيى بن السيبيّ أبو البركات بن أبي الفرج مؤدب الخلفاء: كانت له معرفة حسنة بالآداب، ومات في سادس عشري المحرم سنة أربع عشرة وخمسمائة عن ست وخمسين سنة وثلاثة أشهر. قال أبو الفرج ابن الجوزي: كان أبو البركات يعلّم أولاد المستظهر، وكان له أنس بالمسترشد، فلما قبض على ابن الجزري صاحب المخزن ولي ابن السيبي مكانهالنظر في المخزن سنة وثمانية أشهر، وكان عالما بالأدب والشعر، كثير الإفضال على أهل العلم، وخلّف من المال ما حزر بمائة ألف دينار، ووقف وقوفا على مكة والمدينة. - ١٠٨-
