أحمد بن الحسين بن القاسم بن الحسن أبي علي ، أبو بكر، يلقب الفلكي، جدّ أبي الفضل الفلكي الحافظ الهمذاني: قال شيرويه: روى عن الحسن بن الحسين التميمي وأبي الحسن علي بن الحسن بن سعد البزاز وأبي بكر عمر بن سهل الحافظ، روى عنه ابناه أبو عبد الله الحسين وأبو الصقر الحسن، قال: وكان إماما جامعا في كل فنّ عالما بالأدب والنحو والعروض وسائر العلوم، وخصوصا في علم الحساب فإنه كان يقال له الحاسب، وكذلك لقب بالفلكي، وكان هيوبا [٣] ذا حشمة ومنزلة عند الناس، مات في ذي القعدة سنة أربع وثمانين وثلاثمائة وهو ابن خمس وثمانين سنة.- ٧٥-
