    إبراهيم بن محمد الكلابزي : أدرك المازني وأخذ عن المبرد ومات في سنة ست عشرة وثلاثمائة. قال الزبيدي [٦] : وإبراهيم بن محمد بن العلاء الكلابزي اللغوي من أهل العراق بصريّ المذهب؛ حكي عن [ابن] [٧] المبرد أنه قال: في تلاميذ أبي رجلان أحدهما يسفل والآخر يعلو، فقيل: ومن هما؟ قال المبرمان [٨] يقرأ على أبي ويأخذ عنه «كتاب سيبويه» ثم يقول قال الزجاج، فهذا يسفل، والكلابزيّ يقرأ عليه ثم يقول قال المازني، فهذا يعلو. وكان الكلابزي قد أدرك المازني.وقال ابن بشران: إبراهيم بن حميد الكلابزي مات بالبصرة سنة اثنتي عشرة وثلاثمائة [١] وكان متقدما في النحو واللغة وقد ولي القضاء بالشام. - ٣٤-
