أبان بن عثمان بن يحيى بن زكريا اللؤلؤي يعرف بالأحمر البجليّ أبو عبد الله مولاهم: ذكره أبو جعفر الطوسي في «كتاب أخبار مصنّفي الإمامية» [١] وقال: أصله الكوفة [٢] وكان يسكنها تارة والبصرة أخرى، وقد أخذ عنه من أهل البصرة أبو عبيدة معمر بن المثنّى وأبو عبد الله محمد بن سلّام الجمحي، وأكثروا الحكاية عنه في أخبار الشعراء [٣] والنسب والأيام. روى عن أبي عبد الله وأبي الحسن موسى بن جعفر، وما عرف من مصنّفاته إلا كتاب جمع فيه المبدأ والمبعث والمغازي والوفاة والسقيفة والردّة. - ٤-
