ذكر الخبر عمن مات او قتل منهم سنه ثنتين وخمسين منهم ابو أيوب، واسمه خالد بن زيد بن كليب بن ثعلبه بن عبد بن عوف بن غنم بن مالك بن النجار، وهو احد السبعين الذين بايعوا رسول الله ص ليله العقبه من الانصار في قول جميعهم، وآخى رسول الله ص بينه وبين مصعب بن عمير، وشهد بدرا وأحدا والخندق والمشاهد كلها، مع رسول الله ص، وتوفى عام غزا يزيد بن معاويه القسطنطينية في خلافه ابيه معاويه، وقبره بأصل حصن القسطنطينية بأرض الروم فالروم- فيما ذكر- يتعاهدون قبره، ويرمونه ويستسقون به إذا قحطوا.
