ذكر من قتل او مات منهم في سنه ثلاث وعشرين من الهجره قال: منهم عمر بْن الْخَطَّاب بْن نفيل بْن عبد العزى بن رياح بن عبد الله ابن قرط بْن رزاح بْن عدي بْن كعب، وكان يكنى أبا حفص. قال ابن سعد: أخبرنا يعقوب بْن إبراهيم بْن سعد، عن ابيه، عن صالح ابن كيسان، قال: قال ابن شهاب: بلغنا أن أهل الكتاب كانوا أول من قال لعمر: الفاروق، وكان المسلمون يأثرون ذلك من قولهم ولم يبلغنا ان رسول الله ص ذكر من ذلك شيئا. قال ابن عمر: حدثني أبو بكر بن إسماعيل بن محمد بْن سعد عن أبيه قال: طعن عمر يوم الأربعاء لأربع ليال بقين من ذي الحجة سنة ثلاث وعشرين، ودفن يوم الأحد صباح هلال المحرم سنه اربع وعشرين.
